MEANING OF KEPHAS DESIGN

I created Kephas Design, LLC out of inspiration of the Gospel Matthew, when Jesus names Simon as Peter and as the stone upon which He would build His church.

“Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”" Matthew 16: 17-18

“Kēphas” is an Aramaic word meaning “stone or rock”. Although Jesus spoke Aramaic, the New Testament was written in Greek and the Greek word for “rock or stone” is “petra”, from which we get the name Peter. There was a tradition throughout the Hebrew Bible of God’s followers being referred to as “rocks”, signifying that they could be relied upon, trusted, and had great faith. Jesus was carrying out this tradition by naming the Apostle Simon as Cephas (Kēphas) or Peter, because he was of great faith and Jesus relied on him to continue the ministry of His Church.

With over 17 years of experience in the flooring business, I have been truly blessed to develop the skills and knowledge necessary to know exactly what a customer needs to achieve their dream kitchen, bathroom, shower, basement, or any other room. In addition to residential experience, I have done work for businesses as well, including Salsa Grille Fort Wayne and Salsa Grille Auburn, Asian Zing, Concordia Seminary, and Kirbside Container. Over the years, I have developed good, solid relationships with both my new customers and repeat customers.
